Rwandan National Police in the Western Province has put in custody a man caught holding a full lengthy skin of a leopard and the investigations aimed at knowing where he took this skin continue, Police says.
Emmanuel Maniriho from Nyabihu accepted his poaching activities. He revealed that there are people abroad who commission them to hunt and provide to them these precious skins and other animals’ organs.
The Police spokesperson in the West Province told the New Times that it is vigilant to counter attack these poachers.
(IP) Théobard Kanamugire warned locals that whoever will be caught in such unlawful activities will be caught and brought to justice to be charged.
