As the world celebrates the international day for saving, some of the residents of Nyaruguru district in the South Province affirm that huge savings start with the little amount one has.
For them, saving does not necessarily require huge amount of money rather it require the discipline that pushes people to keep saving regularly.
One of the locals named Nyirasafari Francoise from Nyanza cell in Ngera sector told her former convictions according which saving is a exclusive behavior of hugely wealthy people.
Her convictions changed as she started saving the little she had but she is currently proud of her as he earned and saved more money.
She has been able to pay the school fees for her son.With the amount of money saved,she Nyirasafari invested in an income generating business that enables her to self-sustaining.
Many of her neighbors have also expressed the same conviction that saving is habit rather than ability. For them all depends on the willingness and discipline more than having hufe amount of money one might have.
The governor of the South Province Alphonse Munyantwari urged locals to integrate cooperatives as to bring upon their skills together so to become more productive for the best interest of the nation.
