The Presidential Twitter handle quotes His Excellency as saying that ‘leaders share the same vision and understand common roles, but when it comes to putting what has been agreed to do in action, a problem comes in.’

He urged the audience to uphold the common vision and keep travelling towards its attainment.

He reminded them that the National Retreat is an opportunity for them to reflect on why some issues keep coming up after they have been discussed upon several times before.

“It is now part of our culture of self-assessment, to ensure that what we are doing helps us deliver our vision. This time of reflection and discussion helps us change what needs to be changed.”, he is quoted as saying.

The Head of State has equally called upon leaders to make regular field works and reach citizens in their neighborhoods as to learn more from their daily hardships and address them accordingly.
