Tragic actor Paul Walker will be laid to rest this weekend when his ashes are interred at Hollywood’s Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The late ‘Fast & Furious’ star, who tragically lost his life in a blaze when a car he was travelling in crashed into a pole on November 30, will be laid to rest this weekend when his ashes are interred at Hollywood’s Forest Lawn Memorial Park, according to E! News.
Paul’s remains were released to his family on Tuesday and they have been busy preparing his funeral, which is expected to take place this week with just family in attendance
However, there will be another private memorial service for friends and family – which will likely include his ‘Fast & Furious’ co-stars – at an undisclosed location.
Meanwhile, Paul’s Jiu-Jitsu teacher Ricardo Miller, who guided him in the combat sport for nine years while working on the ‘Fast & Furious’ films, has commemorated his late friend by bestowing him with an honorary black belt.
He wrote on his official website: ” Paul was determined to become a black belt. He said, ‘I will get my black belt, even if I need to get it in my coffin.’ Now in the wake of his death, I would like to reward Paul Walker the black belt that he wanted so much during his life.”
As the funeral details are announced it has revealed Paul’s death could have been caused by road bumps, his family and stunt experts say.
Accident reconstruction experts have told how a car approaching 90 MPH can lose traction after hitting the reflective plastic markers.
The speeding Porsche may have hydroplaned on the markers – called Botts’ Dots – which are laid down to separate traffic lanes.
On contact, the handling of the vehicle is severely affected and would have felt similar to driving the sportscar on ice.
Stunt experts believe it could explain why driver Roger Rodas would have lost control behind the wheel, according to TMZ.
The Carrera GT was specialized with racing tyres that have very little tread which would have further compromised Rodas’ control of the sports car.
In 2004, Porsche allegedly sent a memo to dealers warning about control problems with the Carrera GT and encourage drivers to be aware of the road surfaces.
TMZ report that law enforcement sources are yet to conclude the exact cause of the accident but are ‘looking’ at the Botts’ Dots as a possible theory.
Today new pictures emerged showing Walker smiling and laughing in the final moments before the tragic car crash that killed him.
The Fast and Furious actor , 40, can be seen smiling as he sits in the passenger seat of the Porsche Carrera GT next to his business partner and friend Rodas.
Just moments after the pictures were taken the red Porsche collided into a pole and tree and burst into flames.
The first fire crews arrived less than three minutes after the tragic 911 call.
Since the pair’s death there have been several rumors the pair tried to fight their way out of the burning Porshe after it careered off the road, but TMZ’s recording of the call makes it clear that the pair died on impact.
The actor died from the “combined effects of traumatic and thermal injuries”, a coroner has revealed.
A toxicology report, which could show if drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash, will be available in January.
Fans, friends and loved ones continue to leave tributes at the crash site.
Two men were charged after shocking footage showed them attempting to steal parts from the Porsche which crashed and killed Walker and Rodas.
The video shows the pair of sick opportunists snatching pieces of the wreckage as the Carrera GT was being towed away after the horrific accident.
Deputy District Attorney Sera Boyadjian, said both men face charges of one felony count of grand theft of personal property and two misdemeanour counts of destroying evidence and “resisting, obstructing and delaying a peace officer”.
Prosecutors claim the men took a roof panel from the tow truck which was carrying the wrecked car after it stopped at a red light.
Prosecutors also say the men had been warned by a Los Angeles County Sheriff’s deputy not to tamper with the crime scene.
