The Rwandan President’s Office reveals that the US based TV Superstar Ellen DesGeneres and wife Portia De Rossi were hosted by The President Paul Kagame in his office. Ellen and Wife Portia are in Kigali to launch the construction of mountain gorillas’ protection center in the Virunga National Park.
The institute will be co-sponsored with the Diane Fossey Gorilla Fund.
The celebrated US based couple has been in Rwanda for the last four days, visiting gorillas in the Virunga National Park and assessing all possibilities to enable their project to become effective.
DeGeneres and wife Portia committed themselves to establish that center of mountain gorilla protection as to uphold the Diane Fossey’ initiative to preserve the threatened mountain gorillas.
Rwanda is championing in protecting the mountain gorillas living in its area of the Virunga National Park.
