The Amavubi national team arrived at Kigali International Airport around noon this Friday for its flight to Ghana to play a match with the Black Stars of Ghana.

The national team is willing to win this match even if its victory will not allow it to qualify for the 2017 AFCON cup to be held in Gabon.

The team comprised of Jimmy Mulisa, Mashami Vincent, Thomas Higiro, medical staff composed of Rutamu Patrick and Hakizimana Moussa, The Amavubi Team Manager Emery Kamanzi, and 18 players.

The Amavubi captain Haruna Niyonzima told media that if his team wins, this will reveal the good image of Rwandan football team in general.

The eighteen players of Amavubi are following:

Goal keepers: Ndayishimiye Eric (Rayon Sport) & Marcel Nzarora (Police Fc).

Defenders: Rusheshangoga Michel (APR FC), Imanishimwe Emmanuel (APR FC), Ndayishimiye Celestin (Police FC), Munezero Fiston (Rayon Sports), Rugwiro Herve (APR FC), Usengimana Faustin (APR FC) and Manzi Thierry (Rayon Sports).

Middle fielders: Mugiraneza Jean Baptista (Azam FC/Tanzania), Mukunzi Yannick (APR FC), Niyonzima Ally (Mukura VS), Niyonzima Haruna (Young Africans), Nshuti Savio Dominique (Rayon Sports), Hakizimana Muhadjiri (APR FC)and Habyarimana Innocent (APR FC).

Strikers: Sugira Ernest (AS Vita/DRCongo) and Jacques Tuyisenge (Gor Mahia/Kenya)

The match will take place on Saturday, 03, September 2016.
