The Rwandan Prime Minister Edouard Ngirente affirms that every nation needs better trained engineers if it is to be developed. He said that as he inaugurated a three day high meeting of engineers from Africa labeled African Engineers Conference.
PM Edouard Ngirete urged the engineers to use their expertise in the waste management skills and help African capital cities evacuate them or use them in a way that is friendly to environment.
In his address. Prime Minister Edouard Ngirente reminded the gathering that every nation has to develop its engineers in accordance with the international standards.
The well trained engineers play a tremendous role in social and economic transformation of their respective nations, he said.
Speaking on behalf of the President Paul Kagame who is in Angola to attend the swearing-in ceremony of the Angolan elect President Jose Lorencou, PM Ngirente informed the audience that Rwanda established specialized schools meant for the advancement of science, technology and engineering.
He underlined the importance in investing in education as it helps to foster the economy of any nation and allows citizens to utilize the knowledge in improving their livelihoods.
PM Ngirente urged members of his audience to share insights in different disciplines so that they can achieve something substantial and lasting.
He closed his remarks thanking them for their participation and collaboration so to develop African continent as whole.
This high level meeting of African engineers started on Monday and will come to an end on Friday this week.
