The coach of the Police Football Club Simba Ssimbwa has resigned for his own reasons, the spokesperson of the Police FC SP Mayira Jean de Dieu has told UM– USEKE.RW.
He said that the coach has presented his resignition letter to the Police FC authorities early this. In the letter , the coach has expressed his wishes about returning home in Uganda to deal with his family- related cases.
Sam Ssimbwa has been coaching the Police FC for a year, after he replaced the Serbian Goran Kopunovic who has been fired last July.
The resignation of the coach happens at the time that the Police FC was informed to participate into the CECAFA Kagame Cup scheduled to take place in the coming August .
SP Mayira Jean de Dieu told UM– USEKE that the Police FC management is searching a coach that will be fulfilling the task meanwhile.
Sam Ssimbwa has been the coach of the former ATRACO FC. He has been criticizing the football management in Rwanda, after which he faced disciplinary measures.
He was assisted by Djabir Mutarambirwa who was a bright player in the team but promoted to the post of an assistant coach.
UM– USEKE has information according which three coaches are competing to replace him among Goran Kopunovic that he replaced.
