Police Football Club has signed Justin Mico from AS Kigali to further bolster the striking line ahead of the new season. The 21-year old product of Isonga penned a two-year deal on Saturday to become the eighth signing for the law enforcer’s in this transfer window.
He joins fellow playmaker Amini Mwizerwa, who also joined Police FC from AS Kigali recently.
Others are Hussein Habimana, goalkeepers Danny Nduwayo and Milafa Nizeyimana all from Etincelles; Amavubi left back Celestin Ndayishimiye from Mukura Victory, Jean Bosco Akayezu (Muhanga) and Antoine Dominique Ndayishimiye from Gicumbi.
Christophe Biramahire and Olivier Usabimana were also promoted from Interforce, although the later has since been loaned to Marine.
Police FC spokesperson, Chief Inspector of Police (CIP) Jean de Dieu Mayira said Micyo comes to fill the void left by Idesbard Nshuti, who has also been released upon his request.
“Nshuti still had a contract with Police FC but he requested to be released due to personal issues, the club management understood his desire to leave and his request was granted,” said CIP Mayira.
“His departure left a gap that needed to be filled and Micyo with his age and performance was a perfect recruit,” he added.
“We are trying to reinforce the team to fill all the gaps and upfront in particular to score more goals.”
The law enforcers also has new three-man technical team including the head coach, Innocent Seninga, his assistant Justin Bisengimana and goalkeeper’s coach, Claude Maniraho.
