Kigali-Monday,08,July,2013,at Police Headquarters at Kimihurura ,different Police organizations across the African continent met at Kigali to discuss about how to ensuring measures against violence towards women.
This kind of violence is a worldwide crisis whereby sexual abuses and harassment are among the most common features of the crime against women .Men and young boys are the most involved in the commitment of the crime.
At the opening ceremony ,the Speaker of Rwanda National Police ,CP Kabera told the gathering that the crime leaves deep psychological and physical wounds in victims’ minds and bodies.
The Benin Police Commissioner ,Miss Bocovo Ghyislaine told Umuseke that these trainings will be of great importance to them as Rwanda is known to effectively handle the crimes relating to sexual abuses and violence against women.
“Currently some women do violate his children but the other chooses to remain silent. This is what we want to stop” Inspector Bocovo says.
Around 36 countries attended the training that is scheduled to start from 11 to 12 ,July,2013.
