The Agence Presse Africaine informs that Rwandan President Paul Kagame arrived in Brazzaville for a state visit. He was welcomed by his counterpart President Denis Sassou N’Guesso.
Before heading to Congo Brazzaville, President Kagame attended the Summit held in Luanda, Angola in which many African heads of state attended.
Those include Joseph Kabila, Jacob Zuma, Eduardo dos Santos, Sassou N’Guesso and Yoweri Museveni. The Summit assessed different issues related to regional security.
President Kagame in Brazzaville will be discussing with his colleague on how bilateral ties can be strengthened.
The Rwandan Head of State has visited Congo Brazaville last year during which his counterpart Sassou visited Rwanda too.
Congo Brazzaville hosts not less than 8 000 Rwandan refugees. It is most likely possible that both leaders would discuss on how Rwandan refugees’issue can be handled.
