Rwandan Head of State Paul Kagame has arrived in Dar es Salaam to attend the 17 EAC Summit. The current EAC community is led by the Tanzanian President John Pombe Magufuli.
The EAC member states will be discussing about the entry of the Republic of South Sudan in the Community and the S.Sudanese President Salva Kirr has attended the Summit.
The Summit focuses on the addressing the current diplomatic tensions between Burundi and Rwanda that erupted since April last year.
Heads of States Kenyatta, Kagame, Museveni, Magufuli and Nkurunziza were meant to attend the EAC Summit. The Burundian crisis had adverse effects in the region as thousands of refugees flew to neighoring countries increasing more social and economic problemes already present.
The Summit has also tends to discuss on current political and military crisis in South Sudan between Slava Kirr’s supporters and Riek Machar’s.
This crisis generated a fraternal war between citizens, killing many and more others fled the nations.
