The Head of State and the Supreme chief commander of the Rwanda Defense Forces Paul Kagame has commended the RDF for its discipline, commitment and professionalism that made it a respected institution in Rwanda and abroad.
President Kagame said that during the closing of the regional military courses undertaken by senior military officers from the RDF and the whole region in Nyakinama, Musanze District, in the Northern Province.
In his speech, the President Kagame warned the genocidiares willing to destabilize national security that the RDF and the entire Rwandan population will prove them wrong.
The Head of State reminded the gathering that RDF officers should keep learning and develop their skills as to adapt to a changing world.
President Kagame said that the Rwandan national security issues are key priorities that none should compromise or criticize.
“We will take care of our national security interests ourselves”, President Kagame said.
The Head of State commended the RDF as whole for its remarkable discipline, commitment and professionalism that has made it an internationally respected institution.
He appreciated the participation of regional member states in the senior command staff courses and called upon the graduates to promote the ideals signed in the recent peace and security pacts signed between the EAC state members.
All the graduates were 48 among whom 8 were from the EAC state members. Burundi had two senior officers, Tanzania had two senior officers, Uganda had two senior officers and Kenya had two senior officers.
