H.E Paul Kagame highlighted the achievements Rwandans have made during this ending year. He focused on the fact that the remaining tasks are to be fully achieved in the coming 2014.
In his speech President Kagame reflected on the reigning stability that allows everyone to conduct his/her business freely day or night. President Kagame lauded the economic progress Rwanda has achieved, an estimated economic growth of 6.6 per cent that is to increase before the end of the year.
The export value from January to October this year stands at $489 million (about Rwf329 billion), mostly from agricultural products, he said.
The mines have contributed to over 30 billion Rwf to the economic growth throughout this ending year.
Tourism has brought to the national treasury of $217 million. The Head of State also cited accomplishments in the health sector, saying women giving birth in hospital increased to 86 per cent and child mortality decreased by 95 per cent.
At the other side, H.E urged the electric powers provider, EWSA, to increase efforts to scale electricity provision as to foster the achievement of national economic agenda.
For the President Kagame Rwandans are set to achieve more good services in the future if they continue to work hand in hand.
President Kagame wished a prosperous 2014 to all Rwandans.
