As he is conducting an official visit in the Eastern Province especially in the Ngoma district, President Kagame urged the residents and Rwandans to promote the UN based initiative HeforShe. He said that this initiative aims at promoting the gender balance between women and men as means of boosting social and economic development of nations.
President Kagame told the gathering that he himself embraced that initiative through signing the form that is made available online to testify one supports it.
The Head of State also talked about the importance of caretaking children not only at home but also at school.
He said that children are of great importance to take care of and therefore should be given all necessary support including food, adequate night lightening to avoid blindness, among other key supports children need.
President Kagame promised the residents that they will be provided with a road joining Zaza to Nyanza so that they can communicate and trade with neighboring areas.
Putting emphasis on the importance of security for a sustainable development, the Head of State Paul Kagame said that all necessary measures should be taken to ensure its sustainability.
He warned whoever is willing to strengthen it will be punished back and seriously.
President Kagame will spend three days in the Eastern Province exchanging ideas and advising locals about different issues of national interests.
