President Kagame urges judges to be more honest

Kigali –In the Rwandan Parliament, President Kagame reminded the judges who were gathered  in a closing of the ending justice year and the launch of the new  one that an effective and trustworthy judge is the one who remains honest towards his job and towards Rwandans in general. 

The ceremony that took place in the National Parliament Assembly Hall located in Kimihurura was attended by different dignitaries including judges and persecutors, lawyers among others.

Among the speakers were the President of the national assembly Prof Sam Rugege who briefly presented the tasks fulfilled in the past juridical year. One of the priorities was to handle cases that have not been fully dealt with in the past, cases that  related to  the readjustments of the juridical bodies and institutions, among other cases.

He appreciated the fact that currently the cases are handled as quickly as possible and that all people who are search for justice obtain it as they wish.

The President of the Supreme court appreciated the quality of work done by different justice related institutions and called upon his fellow to keep increasing their skills as fully as they can so that Rwandans might receive fair judicial treatment.

President of the Republic Paul Kagame underlined the importance of justice in the national social and economic development. For him,  justice is one of the pillars of development that Rwanda aspires for.

The Head of State has called upon the justice workers to be more active as to be effective in this coming juridical year as it has been the case in the past ten years(2004-2014).

For him the journey towards improvement and achievement continues. President of the Republic said that all that is required to increase the effectiveness of the justice will be provided.
