RDF visits parents whose child was killed by a soldier

Yesterday RDF senior officer’s visited the parents for an 18 year old boy killed by soldier ranked Major on Sunday evening hours. The RDF officers came to visit the family of the deceased boy in order to back the parents in these sad days and comfort them.

The parents of the Mbarushimana Theogene called for justice for their child so that the suspect Major might be brought to justice.

Lt Col. René Ngendahimana who is the RDFs spokesperson told Umuseke that the visit to the family aimed at showing how sad the story has caused the RDF and to showcase its commitment to back the saddened family.

He added that the visit showed to the family that RDF condemns the deed of one of its soldiers.

Lt.Col. Ngendahimana said that what has happened is against the RDF’s fundamental pillars that include the protection of Rwandan citizens.

The RDF promises to the family of killed son that the suspect Major Dr Rutagomwa Aimable will appear to court to respond to the charges of murder and justice will be made accordingly.

The RDF’s spokesperson Lt Col. René Ngendahimana reveals that within five coming days the suspect will be brought to military prosecution.

Basing on his observations, Lt Col Ngendahimana said that the family appreciated the visit and is hopeful that justice will be made.

RDF condemned the saddening act of killing perpetrated by one of its senior officers and promises to Rwandans that it is fully committed to hinder such acts from happening again and that whoever will commit such or alike acts will be punished according to the law.
