After the death of the  rich Rubangura Vedaste in 2007 his  children  and wives are quarreling over the property shares  each part deserves. It is for this reason that today, the 3th, January, court  started hearings over the  case in Nyamirambo  commercial court.

In today’s hearing, Denis Rubangura have expressed his concerns over Kayitesi’ ownership of  Rubangura property. Another key person to express  his concerns is Lawyer Rwagatare Janvier who told the  court that before the death of   Rubangura, he wrote a notified letter defining how his wealth will be divided among his 10 children and 2 wives.

Those ten children are from two mothers among whom is Kayitesi Immaculee who is the legal wife.

Denis Rungura alongside his brothers brought the  case to the court accusing  Immaculee Kayitesi to have  forged papers claiming that she is the her of the late Rubangura’s heritage.

Denis Rubangura told the court that Lawyer Rwagatare backed Immaculee in  forging these papers.

Lawyer Rwagatare told the court that he is  defending the UPROTUR factory legally owned by Immaculee Kayitesi.

Denis Rubangura revealed to the court that he does not want lawyer Rwagatare to appear in the court as he was defending Denis and his brothers but afterwards he changed and currently he defends Kayitesi.

Kayitesi is accused to have created a new business labelled UPROTUR Group Limited, that differs from the UPROTUR Ltd that was the property of  late Rubangura, according to Denis.

The registered UPROTUR Group Ltd oversees all of the Rubangura properties.

Using the UPROTUR brand, Kayitesi has acquired over 1 billion Rwandan francs  from different banks including the former FINA bank and  COGEBANK.

Denis Rubangura told the court that  Kayitesi did not communicate to the  Rubangura children about the setting up of the  new UPROTUR Group Ltd.

Denis Rubangura accuses lawyer Rwagatare to have signed a paper testifying the ownership of the properties of Rubangura to Kayitesi while Rubangura has children to inherit the property.

Denis affirms that his father has given to each of his wives a house but the rest of the property is  for the Rubangura’s children.

Further  hearings are scheduled to take place this Wednesday.
