One of the locals of Buhanda cell Adiel Musengimana has been severely injured in the head by a leader of the Kabere neighborhood. The accused Elidad Rugemangango denied this and said that Adriel was beaten after being caught stealing a lamp torch of a person nearby him.
Adiel told our reporter that he has been beaten by a group of individuals including the leader Rugemangango.
In additional to this, he testified that Rugemangango injured his head using a metal that is to be identified.
According to him, the leader injured him due to a past misunderstanding that arose from the fact the son of Adiel accused Rugemangango to have illegally exploited a local forest.
Adiel says: “I have been injured at this point due to the information provided by some of my family members. I therefore beg for justice.”
Rugemangango, at his hand, underlined that the wounded man was beaten after being caught stealing a lamp torch.
Locals affirm that there have been serious animosity between both men and therefore the claims of Adiel might be right.
The executive secretary of Buhanda sector, Phanuel Kabera, said he has been informed about the case, adding that further investigation will follow accordingly.
