The staff of the Energy, Water, and Sanitation Authority ( EWSA) from the Ruhango district have gathered a material support for a family composed of the 1994 genocide survivors.
The family belonged to late Kamanzi Charles who was among the former workers of the ELECTROGAZ.
The former fellow workers of Kamanzi said that it is in their duties to assist a family of their former co-worker.
They said that deeds of Kamanzi were exemplary and that his deeds should be recognized by the EWSA staff.
One of the survivors Sana Hyacinthe told the gathering that he eye- witnessed the scene where Kamanzi was killed.
Some of the killers were our neighbors. They killed Kamanzi and took the rest of the Tutsi to Kibingo to kill them all, Sana said.
Mukarubibi Jacqueline who is the widow of late Kamanzi tanked the EWSA staff for their kind contribution that, she said, will help her overcome daily hardships.
The widow Mukarubibi cares about five orphans left husband Kamanzi .
She has been given a house to live in and a cow worthy 125,000 Rwf to provide her with fertilizers and milk for children.
