The administration of the Rusizi district affirms that the long waited finishing touches of the Kivu Marina Bay Hotel will be done not later than the end of this month.
Normally this five star hotel worth 20 million $ would have been completed if the investors were financially as money was lacking and therefore the construction activities were suspended.
The key investors included the Catholic Church and donors but as the means are to finalize its construction are still lacking, Rusizi district decided to intervene.
The Rwanda Development Bank is also backing Rusizi district in completing the construction of the five stars hotel in Rusizi that is meant to boost economy via tourism, job provision and service delivery.
Rusizi city is among the six satellites cities of Kigali so to expand economic growth of Rwanda in different corners of the nation.
Mayor of Rusizi district Frederic Harerimana told Umuseke that the financial means to take further the construction of Rusizi Marina Bay Hotel have been collected.
He promised that not later than the end of this 2016 year, the hotel will be inaugurated.
