It is an unusual event where women warn their fellow after the later was found guilty to attempt to kill her babe through throwing him nearby a street.
The event happened in the Kamashashi cell, Kamembe sector in Rusizi district. The lady called Maimuna was brought in front of other women asa was blamed to have tried to throw her babe in the street two times in order to get far from the innocent babe.
The executive secretary of the Kamashangi cell alongside the official in charge of social affairs in the Kamembe sector brought the lady in the public square where other so-called prostates gathered and warned the Maimuna to no longer attempt to throw the babe.
Mme Hadidja told the ladies to sustain their babes and never try to throw them away.
She said that this habit is potentially dangerous to the babes because it is can lead to the killing of the babes as reported in the news recently.
Prostitutes should protect themselves as not to get pregnant because the ones who get pregnant become anxious and attempt the thrown them away after finding their inability to cater for the babe’s needs, she advised.
Maimuna said that her economic hardships are the main causes that drive to try to kill her one year old babe.
She begged for forgiveness and has sworn to never attempt to harm her babe.
The Sector official in charge of social affairs, Umuhire Neophite, urged the women that any one who will get pregnant and has a mate who denies providing her with needed support to come to the secotr office and report the issue.
The sector office will urge the mate to be responsible and provide the wife with all necessary means and support as any husbands does, she added.
The women disapprove the misconduct of Maimuna but at the other hand agree up the fact that she did not kill the babe.
The Kamembe city hosts a relatively big number of prostitutes coming either from neighboring DRC or in Rwanda.
Those women are the ones who give birth to children without fathers who recognize them and are become responsible, thus such misunderstandings.
