Rwanda and Angola sign bilateral agreement

Today both Rwandan Minister of foreign affairs Louise Mushikiwabo and Angolan Minister of foreign affairs Chikori Pinto Rebelo signed a bilateral agreement as to foster the cordial relations between both nations.

These officials said that signing of the agreement comes in after the Heads of States of both countries have agreed on increasing the partnership between both nations.

The agreement comprises different components including trade and commercial partnership.

The Angolan Minister Rebelo Pinto Chikoti told journalists that his country is willing to promote peace and trade as a country that leads the ICGL.

He said that Angola wants the region to tie strong relations among state members.

This is the time for nations  to sign the agreements that both Heads of States have agreed upon it earlier, Minister Rebelo said.

He said that the region needs lasting peace and that it will be achived through the cooperation between member states.

The Minister of foreign affairs in Angola affirmed the efforts provided for the re-establishment of peace in the region have bore fruits as some of the negative armed forces  in the region have been neutralized.

For him, the FDLR will face the same fate if it does not disarm itself.

Rwandan  Minister of foreign affairs Louise Mushikiwabo  said that the cooperation between both nations is a positive step enabling the coordination of efforts to disarm  the FDLR  which threatens Rwandan national security.

The security of Rwanda implies the security of the region and this is why all nations of the region have to combine all efforts to withstand every threat that can destabilize the region, Minister  Mushikiwabo said.

According to Minister  Mushikiwabo, Rwanda will open an embassy in Angola and more flights Kigali-Luanda will be held at a regular basis in the coming days.
