Yesterday evening the plane carrying bodies of the RDF soldiers who were shot in CAR by of their colleagues last week-end landed in Kigali.
The chief commander of the RDF’ infantry Major Gen Mushyo Kamanzi was at place to receive them and comfort the family members of the dead who were at place.
The five who were shot dead were deployed in Central African Republic as part of the Rwandan contingent of the UN’s peacekeeping mission labeled MINUSCA.
Maj Gen Mushyo Kamanzi expressed his sad feelings about the loss of the brave RDF’ soldiers and comforted their respective family members.
The bodies will be buried this Saturday at Military Cemetery located in Kanombe, Kigali.
Meanwhile further inquiry is being carried out as to grasp the motives of the shooting done by one of the RDF’s soldiers against his colleagues.
Rwanda has 750 soldiers operating in CAR as part of the MINUSCA peacekeeping mission.
