This Wednesday at Rwinkwavu Sector, Kayonza district, the Rwandan Minister of health, Dr Agnes Binagwaho informed to the Harvard University delegation that Rwanda has achieved a tremendous progress in health sector even if more efforts are still needed to be made as to eradicate deadly deseases.
Addressing the assembly composed of Ministry of health staff and US based university delegation members, she focused on the achievements Rwanda has made through reducing the death annual rate of people killed by diseases such as malaria, tuberculosis and HIV/AIDS.
The Minister of health Dr Binagwaho who was inaugurating training of the Ministry’s staff, underlined the importance of taking research based solutions to health related issues.
Dr Gatera Maurice in charge of immunization in the Rwanda Bio-medical Center told the UM– USEKE reporter that the RBC staff underwent training on quality services management.
He observed a need to increase one’s knowledge especially for the medical staff as people whose work requires adequate abilities.
At the other hand, Dr.Rwabukwisi Rwamatare Felix appreciated the importance of these training to medical staff and has thanked the Ministry of health to have chosen the Rwinkwavu Hospital to host the training.
According to current statistics, as shown during the discussion, Rwanda still faces infant mortality rate of children who die before reaching 28 months old .
