Rwanda hosts the High Level Segment of the 28th Meeting of Parties of the Montreal Protocol

This morning over 1000 officials and ranking personalities from across the world gather in Kigali to attend a High level segment of the 28 meeting of parties of the Montreal Protocol. 197 countries delegated their representatives.

The meeting participants are meant to discuss about the amendment of this protocol on the emissions of the Hydro-fluorocarbons that are reported to destabilize the weather and increase climate change related incidents.

This is the key issue that participants are meant to debate upon throughout this international event.

The tools that use the above mentioned gases are  meant to be removed or replaced by the less harming ones but they are more costly.

The President of the Republic of Rwanda Paul Kagame will be presenting his key note as the Guest of Honor.
