The Transparency International released an annual report on the so-called Corruption Perception Index 2016. The index ranks Rwanda the 54 th among 176 nations that were sampled.
Botswana (35), Cap verde(38), Mauritius and Rwanda are the most less corrupted nations in the African continent as compared to the rest of African nations.
The Transparency International, however, says that third of the sampled nations have declined and are below 50%.
Rwanda has 54 marks, making it the 50th best performing nations among all sampled.
The less marked nations are the most corrupted ones, according to the researchers.
Rwanda is the less corrupted nation in the East African Community followed by Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda, DRC, Burundi and South Africa.
