According to the latest report published by Wall Street Journal and Heritage Foundation, Rwanda is the third Sub-Saharan African country that has created conducive economic conditions.
The called an Index of Economic Freedom ,the most economically free country remains Mauritius Islands .It is the only country of sub-Saharan Africa that ranks among the top 10 countries among the 177 sampled nations. Mauritius id followed by Botswana that increased its scores.
Rwanda is the third. According to Jeune Afrique where we took this report; Rwanda has relatively decreased due to two years of a thin economic slowness.
After Rwanda comes Burkina Faso .The Report says Burkina has declined its economic freedom progress.
Burkina is followed by Sao-Tome-et-Principe and Ethiopia, two countries that underwent relative economic freedom challenges.
Zimbabwe, Benin Seychelles and Gabon have made significant progress in the economic freedom initiatives.
Among the criteria used in the setting up of the index included legal framework, regulation efficiency ,limited government and open market policies.
Highly free countries scored a 80% and above, ‘free’ nations got 70-79,9%,relatively free 60-69,9%,less free 50-59,9%,and poorly free -50% of scores.
