As he was addressing the gathering during the State dinner with the Mozambican President Filip Nyusi, President Paul Kagame announced that Rwanda is ‘looking forward to open an Embassy in Maputo very soon’.
President Kagame started by thanking HE Nyusi to have accepted the invitation to visit Rwanda.
He told his counterpart that Rwanda has fond memories of the warm hospitality Rwanda enjoyed during the State visit he made in Mozambique in 2016.
Little earlier I informed the President that we are looking at opening an embassy in Maputo very soon, President Kagame stated.
HE Paul Kagame said that the availability of that embassy in Maputo will help in strengthening cooperation between both nations.
On this second day of his state visit, President Nyusi visited the Kigali Genocide Memorial Center at Gisozi, Gasabo district after which he will visit the King’ Museum in Nyanza district, South Province. Late evening, both Heads of State will have a closed door discussions before holding a joint press conference.
Tomorrow he is expected to visit the La Corniche One Stop Border Post in Rubavu district Western Province.
