Information provided by one of the close friends of Radio Salus presented named Jean de Dieu Mahoro generally known as Giovanni died in usual circumstances. He was living in Huye were the Radio Salus station is based.
The 29 years old was a radio presenter in different radio shows such as ‘Kiberinka’ and ‘Hambere mu mateka’.
One of his close friends of the dead told Umuseke that the Mahoro visited one of his friends who was sick and lived in Mbazi sector, Huye district, and Southern province.
As they (Mahoro and his colleague) went to bed, they slept peacefully without any sign of discomfort.
In the morning as they woke up, Mahoro was no longer alive but dead.
Terance Muhirwa in charge of show preparations and presentations at Radio Salus told Umuseke that the victim was taken to Butare University Hospital to treat him but was found dead. Meanwhile autopsy scans examine the real cause(s) of his death.
Jean de Dieu Mahoro was a university graduate in journalism department of the University of Rwanda.
His close friends affirm that late Mahoro was a kind person who loved hardworking and nurturing interpersonal peaceful ties.
Mahoro is a native of Rusizi district and had his mother. Mahoro was the only begotten son. His death created a gap both to his relatives and to the Radio Salus family.
