It is in this case that the security keepers and tourism experts met ion Nyamagabe to discuss about the adequate measures to keep this forest more secured and productive through tourism promotion.
The Governor of the Southern Province, Munyantwali Alphonse told the participants that both Rwanda and Burundi have nurtured cordial relations and this is an added value that helps in the implementation of the environmental and protective policies for the vast forest.
He said that the both Heads of states, Rwanda and Burundi, are the key actors who promoted the effective relations between both nations.
He urged the participants to imitate the Heads of states andf increase the relations between both nations for a better future.
The head of the delegation of Burundi, said that the journey to Rwanda intends to learn more from the steps Rwanda has made in as far as environmental management are concerned.
He said that the objective is to get insights that will enable Burundians to increase the tourism services winch bear financial benefits, emphasis being put on the Kibira Forest which links with Nyungwe in Rwanda
Among the resolutions taken are joint verification mechanisms that will enable security keepers to uphold safe conditions of the fauna and flora of both forests.
Both forests host different species of animals and trees that are susceptible of generating more financial incomes if exploited properly.
