Since the Rwandan independence, Huye never had a tax park but according to the plan, this town will have the first modernized tax park schedule to be completed in the coming 2015.
The construction work started in 2013 and is currently at its climax as workers start the work early in the morning as to complete the building not later than next year.
Some of the constructors do not appreciate this working schedule due the early time at which they are required to be at work.
The tax park site is located in area that joins both the road that heads to border with Burundi and the one leading to Nyamagabe and Rusizi districts.
One of the tax drivers told UM– USEKE that the new tax park will be of a great importance to them as it will help them attract passengers and provide better services to them.
The Mayor of Huye district, Muzuka Eugene finds the availability of the tax park as the mostly modernized in the East African Community.
His confirmations are laid upon the fact that the tax park will be wide and have differen rooms to host passengers awaiting for their departures.
In its neigboring area, a modern hotel and shops will be built for the convenience of the passengers and other tax park users.
The shops will be equipped with 120 rooms. According to the Mayor of the Huye district , more than 500 traders presented their letters of demand for the rent of the rooms.
One of the constructors of the tax park called Damien Ruzindana revealed to UM– USEKE reporter that the tax park will host not less than 200 mini buses and buses.
