This stage was the longest among all as it is 140 kilometers long (from Rusizi to Huye). One of Rwandan riders called Jean Ruberwa didn’t participate in the today’s stage due to a yesterday’s weakening accident.
Since the starting point, the youngest and Rwandan rider Samuel Mugisha was reported to be the fast riding among others.
He told Umuseke that he is willing to keep performing well and be at the front throughout the today’s stage especially as the best climber.
The French national Pierre-Meric Voisin from the Rhone-Alpes team fell down and was disqualified to continue participating into the Tour du Rwanda.
Valens Ndayisenga’s bicycle had mechanical challenges to its tiles but it recovered thereafter recovered, allowing him to keep his track.
