The Ministry of trade and industry has communicated that the price of the gasoline in Rwandan transport system has dropped from 888 Rwf to 874, which means the reduction of 14Rwf.
The ministry elaborates that the new price’s implementation will be effective from December, 1, 2015 and in Kigali city only.
The communiqué says that the new price was set up due to the fluctuations of gasoline’ price at the international market observed since August, 2015.
However, users are not benefiting from the newly elaborated price as the cost of transport remains high.
Two months ago, the transport fee increased from 18 to 20 Rwf in Kigali city while in different other big streets in provinces increased from 18 to 19 Rwf.
