The Rwandan Minister of Finance and economic planning Amb Gatete Claver has inaugurated the capital market labeled the Initial Public Offering/IPO) with 19,81% government owned shares formerly owned by the I&M Bank.
Every share is worthy of 90 Frw that can be sold to every willing investor both Rwandan national or a foreigner.
The willing investor can’t buy less than 1000 shares. Amb Gatete said that the initiative aims at boosting investment into the growing capital market sector.
Min Gatete lauded the performance of the I&M bank as a profit making bank that significantly grows its assets and pays considerable and useful taxes for national economic growth.
