The newly purchased airbus has landed at Kigali International Airport. The new and the first one to land at Rwanda’s soil Airbus 330-200 is meant to boost Rwanda’s air transport sector as to will cover various destinations across Africa, Asia and Europe.
Last year , Rwandan government signed agreement with the Airbus construction company to manufacture its air crafts and these two first airbuses sold to Rwanda costed 500 million $.
The aim is to serve its clients in their journeys towards different destinations such as Accra, Nairobi, Entebbe, Mombasa, Bujumbura, Lusaka, Juba, Douala, Dar-es-salaam, Kilimanjaro, Johannesburg, Dubai, Lagos, Libreville and Brazzaville.
Rwandair will also serve travellers to Cotonou(Benin) and in Abidjan( Ivory Coast)in the coming few months.
Its destinations will also include Harare( Zimbabwe), Mumbai(India) and Guangzhou in China.
