This morning the correctional prison located in Muhanga district has burnt but the incident did not kill a person nor injured someone. The fire raged from the side nearing the main gate of the prison.
Aloys Rutembesa who is a driver for the prison services told UM– USEKE that the fire burnt as the prisoners were outside and the officials were putting the insects’ killer liquid in the living rooms of the prisoners.
Rutembesa affirms that the electric circuits might have been the real causes of the fire which quickly spread around and burnt everything down.
