This is a bridge that formerly eased transport and communication between dwellers from different corners including Nyanza and Bugesera. It also helped traders from Nyarugenge and Bugesera to exchange goods. After its destruction, the bridge is currently under reconstruction and construction works are getting close to completion.
The destruction of the Rwabusoro Bridge happened in October 2014 due to heavy lorry that spoiled it.
Thereafter the government of Rwanda decided to rebuild it with more strong material and a modern road joining the South and Eastern provinces.
Umuseke photographer took shots of the construction activities under way.
They are about to be completed as workers are committed to the joy tirelessly. Within three months ahead, the construction activities will be done, workers told Umuseke.rw reporter.
The bridge overpassed the Akanyaru River in the south Province of Rwanda.
Locals told Umuseke that the destruction of the bridge negatively impacted on their lives as it hindered them from conducting their normal trading activities.
