Our sources reveal that the tradesman Gaspart Milimo operating in the Nyabugogo commercial hub has passed away due to laongtime illness he has been enduring in one of Nairobi hospitals.
This man who has owned a renown shop in Nyabugogo became popular in 2004 when he had judiciary issues with the then ruling mayor of Kigali, Theoneste Mutsindashyaka.
The Mayor Mutsindashyaka ordered to demolish to towering house claiming that it was settled in a valley area.
However, the tradesman won the battle as he had tangible proofs that he built the house through legally recognized ways and means.
The Head of State Paul Kagame resolved the issue peacefully.
One of his relatives informed Umuseke that late Milimo was hospitalized in Nairobi, and passed away yesterday in the noon hours due to a yet-to-be revealed severe illness.
People who know him for long time told Umuseke that he was a kind person who helped others to overcome challenges.
