The National Electoral Commission has confirmed that three candidates are allowed to compete for the coming presidential elections. Those are President Paul Kagame, Phillipe Mpayimana and Dr Frank Habineza.
Three remaining ones are rejected for reasons relating to the fact that they did not fulfill the required conditions such as the acquisition of 600 signatures
The rejected ones include Barafinda Segikubo Fred, Diane Rwigara and Gilbert Mwenedata.
The confirmation was done basing on the 99th article regulating the elections.
The President of the NEC Prof Mbanda Kalisa said that the inspection has shown that Rwigara Diane presented faked signatures of dead people.
This has proven her dishonest, Prof Mbanda told reporters.
Barafinda was unable to fulfill 600 signatures as he got 350 people while Diane has got 572 people who signed for her.
