The Rider from Germany’team called ‘Bike Aid’ Debesay Mekseb won the Phase One that joins Nyagatare to Rwamagana. The Rwandan who came approximately to him was Joseph Biziyaremye.
All the riders arrived in Rwamagana at the same time but crossed the whole city before heading to the ending line where Debesay arrived faster than others with few seconds in advance.
He was followed by Teshome Meron and Debretsion Aron who represent Eritrea national team.
In the first riders that arrived at the ending point included Jean Bosco Nsengimana, Joseph Biziyaremye, and Camera Hakuzimana, among other Team Rwanda members.
Depending on the fact that the winner of this Sunday’s Prologue was Jean Bosco Nsengimana in advance of ten seconds over Debesay, Nsengimana remained the champion.
This Tuesday, the riders will be racing in phase two that joins Kigali to Huye.
The winner of each phase gains 600$.
