Transfer target Hooper back in Celtic squad ahead of Euro tie.

STRIKER Gary Hooper has returned to the Celtic squad ahead of the team’s second leg Champions League qualifier against Cliftonville.

Boss Neil Lennon has named the 25-year-old frontman in his side for the European clash at Parkhead as the Hoops come off a 3 – 0 win against the Belfast outfit.

Hooper was missing from the squad for the first leg fixture of the tie due to a groin strain.

His future at the Glasgow side has been in question, with Championship side Queen’s Park Rangers one of many teams in the hunt for his signature.

And gaffer Lennon conceded that the Englishman had possibly played his last game for Celtic.

Elsewhere, the Parkhead boss’ selection troubles continue as defenders Charlie Mulgrew and Adam Matthews along with midfielder Joe Ledley have returned to training but will not be ready for the clash.

New signing Virgil Van Dijk remains unavailable with a foot injury.
