The Minister of Sports and Culture Uwacu Julienne briefed media yesterday about this year’s Umuganura ceremony. She said that this ceremony will be an occasion for Rwandans for self assessment in regard to economic achievement and try to step forward in the same angle.
For her, one of the achievements that Rwandans should be proud of the current Agaciro Development Fund deposits that are estimated at 23 billion Rwf.
All these funds were deposed by Rwandans themselves, something that she considered as a tremendous achievement.
Min Uwacu Julienne explained to media that during Umuganura( Day of Premises), Rwandans meet and discuss about the activities done throughout the year and reflect on what needs to be done in the coming years for self fulfillment as well as the one of the nation at large. The Umuganura day brings an occasion to those ones who worked hard and achieved.
The Acting manager of Agaciro Development Funds, Francine Uwamariya underlined the importance brought upon by the deposits of the funds in Agaciro Development Funds.
All the efforts provided by Rwandans as to provide the funds in Agaciro is a sign of patriotism and willingness to make their nation self-resilient, she uttered.
Formerly Umuganura Day was celebrated on August, 1st every year but the date was changed to August, 7 every year.
The cerebration at national level will take place in Nyagatare district but, locally, all the Imidugudu entities will hold such celebration at local level.
