The report released by the UNESCO yesterday on the education promotion in Rwanda particularly and around the world in general describes Rwanda as being one of the best performers in promoting inclusive education.
Rwanda has reached 98% in promoting all education for all including historically marginalized groups such as girls, people with the disabilities, among others.
Education sector is among the key pillars of social and economic development of a given country and the UN promotes this sector through its education wing known as UNESCO.
Rwanda is ranked number one in Africa in promoting this sector as compared to the rest of African nations.
Education is an effective incentive in boosting modern agriculture that most of African countries aspire to achieve.
The Rwandan Minister of education Dr Papias Musafiri Malimba said that the release of this research in Rwanda is a testimony that it reached its education goals, adding that more will be done in this regard to maximize the results.
However, he underpinned the fact that education orientations are currently focusing in improving its quality and promoting the vocational courses.
Dr Malimba reiterated the importance of increasing parents’ understanding on the quality of education that starts at home.
Parents should help children learn at home and acquire values that characterize polite pupils and Rwandans at large, Dr Papias Malimba advised parents.
