The veteran journalist of BBC, French section, Nshimiyimana Venuste, said that he never participated into the plans of Kizito and Callixte Nsabimana a.k.a Sankara.
Venuste Nshimiyimana agreed that he wanted to discuss with Mihigo as all media in the world wanted to have an interview with a survivor who overcame the post- genocide challenges.
I called him as to set up an appointment with himw as to discuss on the achievements Rwanda has made since 1994.
Venuste Nshimiyimana told UM– USEKE.RW that he came into contact with Mihigo when he was a student in Europe. He lost his contact number when Kizito returned to Rwanda.
Kizito Mihigo has recently accepted his complicity with the FDLR and RNC opposition leaders willing to overthrow the political system in Kigali.
Recently, the Chimpreports online media reported that Callixte Nsabimana and Kizito discussed on how Nsabimana could help Kizito to reach in UK and that Venuste Nshimiyimana will help him deliver an interview at BBC.
Venuste Nshimyimana vehemently denied this and said that he knows Nsabimana usually as he knows other Rwandans who write to him through Facebook as Rwandan who works for an international media.
Nshimiyimana said that before the commemoration begun, he asked Sankara whether he has the phone number of Kizito whom he wants to give an interview. Callixte asked him whether it could be possible to invite Mihigo in UK but Nshimiyimana responded that it was not necessary as he had no budget for it.
Sankara gave him the phone number of Kizito and he called him. We first talked about issues related to normal issues of daily life but I asked him whether on 7th , April, he planned to come in Europe but he me that he will not come. I promised him to give his number to one of our reporters in Kigali in French section, to be able to talk to him, Venuste said.
Kizito kept asking Venuste whether he could go to UK but Nshimiyimana responded to him that it was not need, telling him t the he will invite him on a selected date. Venuste Nshimiyimana told UM– USEKE that he ignores what were the plans between Callixte Nsabimana and Kizito. He manifested his surprise about the fact that he is being involved in such plans.
Recent news has revealed that Callixte Sankara urged Kizito to fly in Europe so to ‘freely’ conduct his political deeds.
It is scheduled that the suspects will appear to court next week.
