The Virunga National Park authorities and the Rwanda Development Board vowed to host not less than 30 000 visitors before the end of this year. The aim is to acquire not less than $16 million from the tourists expected to visit the famed Virunga national park.
Friday, 02, September, 2016, Rwanda will name its 19 baby gorillas born this year and the event is scheduled to take place in Kinigi, Musanze district.
Different authorities from across the world wil attend the event ant those include ambassadors, environmentalists, senior politicians, scientists, etc.
The Rwanda Development Board(RDB) is proud of its efforts in conserving the nature and its biodiversity as it bears expected fruits in generating desired funds.
Rwanda is currently home of over 440 mountain gorillas.
The Virunga National Park comprises of different parts where varying species are living. These species include monkeys, gorillas, buffaloes and elephants.
It also has wonderful landscapes that are eye attracting and mind refreshing. These involve Buhanga Eco-park, Iby’iwacu Cultural Village.
The definition and the conservation of other species to visit in the park has attracted more visitors, thus, generating more incomes for the national economy to grow.
In past six years, around 90% of visitors were only motivated by the beauty and the human-like behaviors of mountain gorillas but currently they rejoice to see that varying species are available.
