As the World Economic Forum is scheduled to resume in Kigali this Wednesday, many influential people are expected to attend it until Friday, the day of its closing session.Those people include political decision makers, international tradesmen, academicians, journalists, human rights activists, among others. Around 1200 people from 70 countries worldwide will be in Kigali to attend one of the most important economic gatherings all over the world.
Heads of States and Prime Ministers
Among the Heads of States include Paul Kagame of Rwanda, Ali Bongo Ondimba of Gabon, Alpha Condé of Guinea, Macky Sall of Senegal, Faure Gnassingbé of Togo, Uhuru Kenyatta of Kenya, Prime Minister of Ethiopia Hailemariam Dessalen, Prime Minister of Rwanda Anastase Murekezi, Prime Minister of Ivory Coast Daniel Kablan Duncan, Vice President of South Africa Cyril M.Ramaphosa and Vice President of Tanzania Samia Suluhu.
Ministers:
The Ministers to attend the WEF Rwanda 2016 will come from different nations including Djibouti, Lesotho, Somalia, Zimbabwe, Holland, Russia , Sweden, South Africa, South Sudan, Togo, Ivory Coast, US Trade Representative Michel Froman among others.
CEOs:
According to the protocol, various Chiefs Executive Officers are expected to come to Rwanda to share their experiences with their fellow ones.
The most influential among them include Arancha Gonzalez Laya who leads the International Trade Centre( ITC), Peter Maurer who leads the International Committee of the Red Cross(ICRC), Kanayo F. Nwanze who leads the IFAD, Babatunde Osotimehin who manages the UNFPA, David A.Lipton who is the deputy CEO of the IMF, Yonov Frederick Agah who leads the World Trade Organization.
Among other very important persons to be present in the Forum are the former Africa Development Bank chief Donald Kaberuka and his successor Akinwumi Ayodeji Adesina, Winnie Byanyima who leads the Oxford International United Kingdom), Patrick Njoroge who is the Governor of the Kenya National Bank, among others.
International tradesmen:
Those are African renown tradesmen from whom different investors can learn a lot.
They willl include the Nigerian investors Aliko Dangote, Tonye Cole wo muri Nigeria, a South African Tracy Chambers,Ugandan young investor Ashish J.Thakkar, Tonny O.Elumelu, US native Howard Buffett, Bob Diamon, among others.
The former UK Prime Minister Tony Blair and wife Cherie Blair will attend the meeting.
The Rwandan Minister of finance and economic plan Amb Claver Gatete urged Rwandans to host visitors warmly as to benefit from their presence and create further ties.
