Minister of foreign affairs of Rwanda Louise Mushikiwabo twitted that the death of Karegeya Patrick, considered as an enemy of Rwanda, should not make Rwandans loose sleep.
Minister Mushikiwabo Louise responding to a question of Claude Kabengera, a journalist of Isango Star, she affirmed that a death of someone who clearly has self declared as an enemy of the nation should not make people feel pity for him.
Self declared enemies of Rwanda are not on Government of Rwanda sympathy list, she twitted.
Patrick Karegeya passed away on 01, January, 2014 in South Africa where he was living in exile.
Military courts in Rwanda found him guilty of preparing a coup against a government in exercise, among other charges.
News say that Karegeya Patrick was in close collaboration with Kabuga Felicien, one of the key planners of the genocide against the Tutsi.
Independent news state that Karegeya alongside his colleagues prepared a war against Rwanda to overthrow the government. According to news, Karegeya was working closely with the FDLR rebels operating in DRC, rebels who fled Rwanda after committing the genocide against the Tutsi in 1994.
Recently the government of Uganda has denied the family of Karegeya to bury him in Uganda, claiming that he was a Rwandan at the time of his death.
Meanwhile Rwanda and South Africa are the only countries to accept the burial ceremony of Karegeya to take place in one or in the other among these nations.
