World Bank Group President Dr. Jim Yong Kim is expected in Rwanda tomorrow

World Bank Group President Dr. Jim Yong Kim is expected in Rwanda tomorrow March 21, 2017 for a two day official visit. The objective of the visit is to witness the impact of key government initiatives supported by the bank.

Day one of the official visit will see Dr. Jim Yong Kim tour the drone port in Muhanga district, Special Economic Zone as well as  Klab/Fablab.

Day two will begin with a public lecture where Dr. Jim Yong Kim will discuss the need to shift approaches to development in order to meet aspirations of World’s seven billion people and be the first generation in history to end extreme poverty.

World Bank President will then visit social protection site in Kinyana village and later transfer to the President’s office.

It is on the above note that the Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning invites you to cover this important visit. Kindly note that there will be transport facilitation to and from site visits. All will depart from KBC round about and departure time is 11:00 am.
