Rwandan singer Man martin affirms that fact that one survived the genocide against the Tutsi in 1994 indicates that God has a plan for him/her.
Man Martin wrote to his facebook wall that having survived from the genocide was not an act of pity from the killers rather it was and is still a sign of God’s love and commitment to make one’s future brighter.
He wrote “Rwanda 20, years! Genocide survivors, Know that however your living conditions are, the Almighty God knows and cares about you.
“Your survival did not result from the willingness of the killers rather it was by the loving kindness of your Creator!”
“Be strong and strive for a better future. Change your pain into joy and hatred into love. This will be the only strong pillar upon which your future lays. Be stronger!”
Man martin is one of many Rwandan artists who sing peace inspiring songs.
His songs also highlight the unity and reconciliation needed to build Rwanda free from any genocidal ideologies.
